Rampage Rally

Breakdown

Rampage Rally

Rampage Rally was my second participation in a challenge hosted by Pwnisher, where I combined my previous experience with Quill and Blender into a single stylized pipeline.
The biggest challenge of the project was fitting an entire mini-story into just four seconds of screen time. Despite the extremely short duration, the goal was to create a scene with clear storytelling, dynamic action, and strong visual readability. I was very happy with the final result and how much narrative information could still be communicated in such a limited timeframe.

The visual direction was heavily inspired by the style of Kurzgesagt. The main hero characters were created in Blender, while many of the background ducks and secondary animated elements were produced in Quill VR to speed up iteration and maintain a hand-crafted feel.
Most assets were textured using a vertex paint workflow, which helped preserve the clean stylized look while also keeping production fast and lightweight. The project became an interesting experiment in mixing VR-created content with a more traditional 3D pipeline for cinematic animation.
